Our Apologies for treating OGBAND.COM with no Love

April 18th, 2013 | By Orange Grove

To all of you out there who have returned every now and then to see if we have added content or made any kinds of updates to this site… we hereby apologize as we have not updated it since the Summer of 2012. In the meantime we’ve been mainly active on our facebook page and using that basically as our way of getting OG news out to our fans. We understand though that there are many of you who rely on ogband.com for the latest scoop and therefore we are sorry for not keeping you in the loop.

At the moment we are busy writing and recording the next album. I can already tell you it will be a real treasure! If you haven’t heard “Ready For It” yet, you should do that right now, here’s a link: Ready For It

It is the first song we have released to give you all a taste of what we are up to. Right now we’re in a very exciting phase in OG and we are all very stoked about what kind of album we are going to put together with this group of six (us five plus one helluva producer we have chosen for it in Bas van Wageningen). At the moment all I can say is thank you for your support and we hope this song gives you some more patience towards waiting on our next album. Or maybe it gives you even less! That would be good too..kind of..

One last thing, to hopefully make up a little bit for our slackness on updating OGBAND.COM…here’s a little video of Jacob getting slapped by a guy in a mankini…

What an epic Summer it was..

August 21st, 2012 | By Orange Grove

The Summer is not quite over yet…thank goodness..but it’s about time we posted a little recap of our 2012 Summer Tour adventures. We really had one to remember this year! It all started in the Caribbean (yes…once again..lucky us!!) on our home-away-from-home island St Maarten. The first show was on June 16th to help celebrate Island 92 Radio’s tenth anniversary at the Porto Cupecoy. It was the first of fifteen shows we’d be playing during the tour. After that it was off to the States for our first ever US leg which started in New York City. Our first few days in the big apple saw us at a few radio interviews, a photo-shoot and we were even part of a TV show that will be airing on NBC Nonstop this Fall! Then it was on to the shows! The first three concerts of this US leg were in New York City (Greenwich Village, East Village and Times Square) and after that we headed south to link up with our new friends in Groove Stain and open for them at their shows in Atlanta, Athens, Asheville, Raleigh and Myrtle Beach. It was a great time..we made new friends and fans in different cities..new adventures..more stories to tell our grandchildren one day..and most importantly it was a good first step in America for many more to come!

Nine shows in nine nights later and we were back on St Maarten for Bikini Beach’s 20th anniversary and what a celebration that was! After that we finally had a couple days to rest and then headed off to the ABC islands (Aruba, Curacao and Bonaire) for a weekend of shows over there. For the second year in a row, the Zanzibar on Curacao was rocking! The night after it was the Spice Beach Club on Bonaire and just like the year before it was great to see how many people showed up on an island with such a small population! The day after that we were on Aruba for the annual Hi-Winds windsurfing event. We performed to a crowd of over a couple thousand on the Eagle Beach! It felt great to have finally returned to an island where we have so many friends and fans after almost three years since our last show there. After the ABC’s we returned to St Maarten to finish the tour on the island where it all started. It all ended with a bang on the Boardwalk in Philipsburg for the annual Video X-Games event on July 15th…and just like that the Rock Reggae Raid ’12 was over. For all of us in Orange Grove it was a Summer filled with new experiences, new friends made, new places seen, lessons learned, growth, crazy parties and lots of fun! It feels like this Summer will stick with us for a good while to come!

Thank you to everybody who helped make it what it was and to everybody who shared in all the great moments with us!

Check out the pictures below which tell some of the story as well…

At the moment we are back in the Netherlands working on writing new songs for the next album. We will keep you all updated with the progress…

Peace, love and happiness! -OG

We’d love to hear what you think about her! Feel free to leave a comment right here or over at www.facebook.com/orangegrove

LIVE DVD and BRAND NEW SINGLE

November 17th, 2011 | By Orange Grove

Greetings from The Hague! The Winter is really starting off with a bang for its buck over here in Holland..and it feels like it’s going to be a very very cold winter..maybe they’ll even have an “Elfstedentocht” this year? It hasn’t taken place in 15 years already but who knows..this Winter might just get cold enough!!

Orange Grove will be ok though…we’re escaping it all mid December when we hit up the Caribbean again for another tour down there..this time for a whole month!

Besides having the usual fun and basking in the sun, we’ll be keeping ourselves quite busy. Besides the shows we’ll be releasing our first LIVE DVD as well as a brand new EP! We are well aware it is about time to give you all some new songs for your collection…and we are very excited that these are going to be those songs you have been waiting for!

Pay close attention..or at least enough attention to stay informed..to our sites and you’ll know exactly when we are dropping both the DVD and the EP and where they will be available etc. The easiest way to stay up to date with us is by ‘liking’ our facebook page at www.facebook.com/orangegrove

We hope those of you in the northern hemisphere are staying warm and those of you in the southern one are getting ready for a sweet Summer!

Keep dancing, smiling, singing and spreading the love!

Michael
